I was looking at the photos on my ride to COTA and found this one. This in N Texas, Earl's Art Park which is South of St Jo, Tx just across the Red River through Illinois Bend.

Definitely cigarette burn Gerry my mechanic says, he said it looks as if some flicked a cigarette and it or the ember head fell on both wire and plastic piece and burned both. Wire covering not burned thru so safe to ride.:frown2:
what a jackass
Is it a trick of the light or is there something (sticker?) under the Supersport on the fairing?
looks like a dragon, like this:

He probably belongs to a secret society that I am unable to share with foreigners if I knew about it.

:wink2:

Mike, it's supposed to be secret....shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Deal's Gap is at the Tenn/North Carolina border on Hwy 129, known as the Tail of the Dragon, 318 turns in eleven miles. However, there is a counter to this in Kansas where the road goes on for 318 miles with eleven turns.

The Dragon is the emblem for Deal's Gap Motorcycle Resort, perhaps the most famous riding spot in the US.

Deals and the Smokies are nice places but too much traffic. Don't even try the dragon on weekends.

For pure riding enjoyment, the Ozarks are simply the best. I would guess folks in Colo, TX, WV, OH, KY and CA might disagree. But N Ark is my favorite of all. Most folks that go there for the first time agree.

Just skipped through the video. Those guys had a lot more patience than I would. All that way to follow two slow HD's through Deals Gap. That would be like having a bike on Stelvio Pass and following a couple of Scooters.

One of the nice things about crossing Monarch Pass from the west is that the climb is all two lane. Always fun to come up behind a group of our Harley friends and show them how Italian V twin's can corner. Especially the ones that think they're fast. But be careful, they never seem to know you're there until you pass.
Last time I was on 50 there was construction everywhere and I was pulling an RV. Last time I was through Poncha Springs on 285 I got a ticket in my Accord. :crying:
not great quality from my phone, but a little bit funny

nice looking FFC. What can you tell us about the power delivery?
getting it
beautiful spot, not a lot of folks there. 30 miles to Buena Vista, Gunnison or Crested Butte.
Nice graphics.
White balance is very adjustable but quite tricky. And when I play with it, I notice that the camera display in the sun is never quite what I see on the screen when I get home.
No, Steve. I gave up on shooting RAW many years ago. Too much work.

Funny, years ago I took a class in digital photography. Coming from film with simple exposure and ISO, there were lots of differences to go digital. So anyway, the first day of class was learning RAW all sponsored by Adobe Photoshop. Now the next day, a professional photographer gave his lecture, he'd shot a lot of Rolex ads for those glossy magazines and was a Nikon pro. He said that he never took a photo in RAW and he never worked in darkroom when he took film. He was a slide shooter and took pictures. He said that he actually took fewer photos with digital since he could see the photo immediately.

After struggling with RAW for several years, I gave it up on the spot. Never looked back. A good picture is a good picture. The simple photo editor on WIndows can easily crop and make simple adjustment on the JPEG. Good enough for me.

Man, I am so ready to go the Rockies, run up 92.

Would guess you're off 285 on the way to Fairplay, or south of 50 in ranch country?
OK, I've ridden on hwy 69 before. Via hwy 12.
Best riding ever this week. Perfect weather and the roads are almost deserted. Normally they'd be filling up with RV's.
I'll bet they still patrol 285 all around 50. I'm still pissed about that ticket
