Yes, rosso III is a road tyre capable of a stint on the track. But for the track you would be better off with a track tyre. There is a long thread in here about tyres. Try coupling on to that.

Hi,
I did a couple days on track using the Rosso III, and while they were good and held up ok, they were not ideal. Under stress, they get too hot ... I feel like I'm wasting a good set of tyres by using them for something they were not necessarily designed for.
Without going to a full slick, do you have any recommendations for a high performance non-slick track tyre?
So far, the potential candidates are:
1. bridgestone s21r
2. metzeler k3/5/7
3. pirelli supercorso
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
