After the dealership you can also ask for some extra things to be inspected. Possibly there are exceptions and the max amount of money the insurer covers and above you can pay - at least I have something like this - some minimal payment from my side. Geometry would tell if something is wrong. And you have the fairings protector... Damn it.
Good you're healthy.
The rear brake fluid - if you can, please wash somehow...

Doh!! That sucks. Call your insurance and file a claim. I assume you have the other guy's info?
It will have to go to the dealership. They will inspect it and give the insurance company an estimate.
Yeah this happened yesterday, got out of ER late,, called insurance and filed claim, have the other guys insurance and all. Assigned an adjuster so should talk to them this week I would think. Planned on taking to dealer unless I had better advice options..just wondering if anything specific I should be asking/looking for to make sure no unforseen stress to bike that could result in future failures. I was going highway speeds when he made a U-turn into me. Thanks

Be smart also about describing the situation - the insurers like to find weak spots... and pay less - one thing described other words is accepted - I take it from real life in my region how it sometimes works unfortunately.

Cleaned a few weeks worth of gunk off the SS and started paint repair on the scuffs. Topped off the oil, apparently it burned a bit with all the redlining at the track and general hooliganizim I've been up to.

New shiny de-cat on.
Aligned the lines of the Termi with the under seat ridge and brought it forward so that it ends before the tail light and exposes the wheel more.
Pannier bracket off. It was knicking me in the head and I'll put it back on when needed.
DP carbon guard back on after the wheel painting as it stands out more against the lighter coloured rim.

@Fkruger Sorry to hear that. I am assuming that you are ok? How did the incident happen?

That’s a proper whoopsie, do you know the other rider or were you potted by a stranger?

Its unusual to be hit by another bike. What were they doing?

Riding down highway, other bike on side of road made u-turn across lanes - I was in left lane, attempted to swerve but no luck. impact on right side. Bike had no mirrors and rider no motorcycle endorsement on license. He walk away no injuries, I have a shattered foot (multiple breaks) poss. Surgery awaiting specialist. Have to wait and see how it works out..really a bummer gonna be home for awhile it looks like. Grateful it could have been alot worse outcome

Ideal proof for the insurer. No special talk. But daaaaamn. I need so much effort and brain to buy V2... he just bought it and decided, yea, I will make a turn on a h i g h w a y 🤦‍♂️ Sorry Fkruger you had to be there... one good thing I see after even my low side - the fairings help to slide the impact far away from bigger troubles with the engine or crucial components.

Got my new 2021 SuperSport S and it is being currently ceramic coated, wish I could it’s been smooth sailing with the dealership but it hasn’t been, the latest being they put the new parts from the new bike that I was swapping out onto the old bike and gave me the old parts from the old bike. I was swapping out from the old bike the slip on exhaust, tail tidy and tinted windscreen and putting them on the new one. Does that look like a shiny new exhaust from a brand spanking new bike?……

I can see how that’d make the trade in bike much nicer to sell for them! Have they rectified the issue?
Nice to see another red 950 👍
