what kind of gas tank?

Does anyone know, for sure, what kind of gas tank is on the 939 SS? Is it the dreaded plastic or finally did Ducati learn their lesson and put a steel tank with this? Having experienced a Duc with a plastic tank, this would be game over if they're still using plastic tanks. I'm not going to deal with that again.

Its steel, and Ducati offer a magnetic tank bag. 16 litres capacity, the warning light comes on when two bars are showing. Which is just over one imperial gallon or 4 litres.

Nah, Ducati liked replacing so many plastic gas tanks that they decided to keep on doing it. It is their way of keeping in touch with their customers. >

I think perhaps the dreaded ethanol may have had something to do with some of the failures. Particularly on old bikes.
I notice warnings in the manuals about exceeding 10%. Yet it is possible a 15% mix may occur, I hope not.
