Ok, so I like polls. I've been noticing that it seems that there are more white S models than any other, but let's put it to the test. Which one did you buy?

There is only one true color for a Ducati, and that is red.

Edit: and sometimes yellow is acceptable.

Red S for me... but then i have a white multi and another white bike would be a bit too much

Are you saying that because I already had a red 900SS I should not have gotten another red SS?

no no no, red is good... too many white bikes is, um, well a bit too white!
Red is faster.
That's why I got the white one, with the red wheels. :) Red wheels are faster than black wheels. haha.

Super Sport RED-non-s.......That white didn't do it for me and I needed to save money for my upgrades, I noticed the RED scratches like a black bike. I Use Meguiar's-Ultimate Polish or i say just started to, the last bike I had I put 2-3 coats of Meguiar's-Ultimate Polish then put Meguiar's-NXT Generation® Tech Wax® 2.0 - mothers makes the same products!!! Works like a charm on my black bike the paint held up way longer than other bikes and in between I use Meguiar's Detailer Mist & Wipe about every week or two............Ya I know OCD. ( old cranky AND demented )

Good luck to everyone out there on there SUPERSPORT....................Be Safe.

Please don't use a polish. By nature all polishes are abrasive. The stuff that dries white is clay, the smaller the particles the less abrasive it is.

Polishes are only need for paint correction purposes. Use a glaze, wax or one of the new ceramic coatings available from Gtechniq, Nanolex or similar.

So try Meguiars swirl remover or a machine polish to remove the swirls/scratches then use a surface protection, I can recommend Zymol Glasur or Nanolex Si3D or Nanolex Matte

There are over 300 people visiting this forum. We need to convince that folk to register and vote to get a clear poll result, but so far it seems the white is the favourite.
GO REDS!!

I would definitely like to see others voting. Just pulled this off the bottom of the main page:

"Most users ever online was 530, 05-29-2017 at 01:29 PM."

Non members can't vote, but still there are 51 members currently online.

I think often people bypass unwittingly the poll vote at the top of the page and use the quick reply. Surely there are more reds out there, It has to be a 'hung Duc 939'
So far, it seems like my first thought is a correct one. There are more whites out there than reds. I know that while doing an online search for SS's for sale within 500 miles from my location, there are no whites available, only reds...and very few of those.
Looks like, so far, that the Star White Silk is the runaway winner!
I like red, but I would prefer gold wheels rather than black.

Actually I'd really like black bodywork, gold frame, gold wheels.
I'd be curious to find out what the manufacturing numbers were of each of the three choices. Normally I would assume more base model bikes were built than the S models, and the least built would be the white bikes, probably something like 50%, 30% and 20% respectively. But that's only a guess and a SWAG at that.

I think there's a bit of psychology behind all of this as well. People who paid top dollar for a white S are probably more likely to seek out like minded people and find some confirmation bias in their choice. Red S would come right behind that for similar reasons. Red standard bike owners are least likely to do so, and also least likely to vote in the poll (even though it's anonymous) to avoid being in the perceived minority compared to the more expensive bikes that happen to be better represented in the poll.
