Hi Guys,

I think the title says it all :) I changed to a V2 after a long time agonizing over the decision. As part of the switch, the dealer (Rockwell Cycles) is selling the bike on my behalf on consignment. The link to view it is just below the pic. I am posting this myself as I am still the owner of the bike so can handle sales directly if needs be. The bike has been exclusively serviced and marinated by Rockwell and has all the service history and manuals. I was / am sad to sell it.
Having said that, I am happy to answer any questions, or feel free to speak to the dealer directly (their details are on the link).

Safe riding!

Hi ChuX, as you know, the Supersport is an excellent bike - I think that objectively it is a better road motorcycle in almost every way than the V2, I also think it looks great (lets face it, aesthetics are important), is very comfortable, has great mid range torque, handles fabulously and almost always made me grin to take it out for a spin. However when I originally got the SS I imagined I'd be using it for long journeys, light touring etc so it seemed the perfect compromise between sportiness and comfort. But, I've found that I've only ever used it for short local journeys on sunny days and have tended to use my other bikes for longer distance travel. So with that in mind, I fancied a change, and drama and flair became more of a priority than practicality and comfort.
I've done about 300 miles so far and can report that the V2 is supremely uncomfortable, doesn't have the same mid range urge as the SS, has no fuel gauge and a small tank (light comes on at 80miles!) and gets very hot under the seat (heaven knows what it will be like in summer), and is less stable and more fidgety over the terrible roads we have in New York. To be fair, I knew all those negatives before making the switch. On the plus side for the V2, the engine is smoother than the SS, it sounds awesome even with stock exhaust, the pain on wrists and neck is lessened at speed, and I love the way it looks. Also, I think the DQS is better implemented on the V2, which is a significant plus for me.
So far I am really enjoying it for the sort of 50 mile blasts I do around here. When the weather gets hotter, that might change. Similarly as I get older and stiffer (51 years old at the moment) I might revise my opinion :)
