No desmo. Japanese-like HP/liter output.
The 890cc triple in the Yamaha R9 throws down the same numbers in a bike that weighs the same as the new Panigale V2 -- ready to run weights. It costs a THIRD less than the Panigale V2.

The 3ycl in the MV F3 800 Competizione puts out 160HP (33% more power) and the same basic torque numbers. The F3s have always been startingly light compared to the Ducati's thanks to the titanium bits in the engine and liberal use of carbon fiber. You can pickup a leftover F3R for less than the 2025 Panigale V2 and grab an F3RR for V2S money.

I am seriously considering an R9 if my wallet doesn't get first seduced by an MV F3.

@detansinn an R9 would be in my garage if I wasn't impulsive and got the Street Triple last year. As incredible as the MV's are, the next closest dealer is 5 plus hours away (Chicago) and I just don't trust their reliability enough to be that far away from dealer support. Now that KTM is in financial trouble and distancing themselves from MV, it's even more concerning.

There's nothing wrong with the new Panigale V2, I just don't see it being anything but a nice bike that is pretty expensive for what it is.
