Im not sure if it was the new surface ( I expect it was ) but it was quite noticeable that in the early laps at least to lap 6 MM was struggling to contain the shudder on his bike on acceleration Dare I say his bike looked like the Ducati early last year which wobbled every time they put the hammer down. It looked to me that Honda didn't account for the better grippy surface and rather than loosing some traction MM had to restrain the throttle. I heard an interview where he said he couldn't push in the early laps but then later he could push? im not sure if it was tyres or Mapping ? im guessing it was mapping and Honda just didn't get the mapping right according to the game plan. What a ride by Rins great to watch, I was half expecting him to loose the front end9 as he has done before) in his efforts to hunt down MM.

I wonder how well Quartararo would be doing if he had a better start, his starts have been really slow, each time he has qualified well he has been swamped by riders on the rear rows (mainly Ducati,s ). I’m a Miller fan and I was hoping this was going to be his year to shine but he is not showing the consistency needed although I’ve sensed a change lately. I don’t know much about Fabio other than it looks to me that failing injury he looks like he could be a champion of the future. I hope to see him challenging MM, Rins and Dovi for the rest of the season. It will make for good watching

Oh boy it’s going to be a cracker of a race! I predict an exciting first 4 laps as MM, Dovi, Rossi and Rins battle to make it to the front group and the tail end should be even better depending who is left standing. Couldn’t pick a winner in this one

Yeah I’ve been watching and MM is up on every sector the Ducati is struggling with traction out of the corners they think those that are getting good traction have faster corner speed. I think miller might push this one for a podium....... or crash ,! MM will lead from the front and disappear for a lone race. unless it rains then it’s going to be interesting.

I was watching when Espargaro’s had his High side OFF. The comments from KTM were that in the second turn of that cork screw section the bike is totally off the throttle and the electronic aids are effectively switched off ? and would not be working and cannot be relied on. Hmm So when the bike is off the throttle the electronic aids are not working.... surly that's not right. But I heard them say it.

I’ve proffered the solution would be to drop a half degree from the steering head angle and perhaps shorten the wheelbase a few centimeters but none of the smart people on the board really ever weighed in with their smarts to validate or reject the thought.

Honda has gotten the power advantage. Suzuki and Yamaha are still behind. If Yamaha does their homework and Fabio stays healthy, they could very well mount a dynastic run like Honda has with MM.[/
There is no denying that the Honda has managed to get some extra speed and dare I say improved handling to go with the extra HP (usually there is a trade off more power less handling) but MM is the only rider that can handle it. No other Honda rider has been able to use what’s there. I assume all developments are focused on what MM,s needs to win. The same can be said for Yamaha Fabio is able to handle his bike and is screaming out for more power. But Rossi is struggling with it. It all seems to be coming down to grip. Has anyone else noticed that MM never seems to have to manage his tyres like the others who all seem to loose grip in t(e later stages.?

Ultimately, MM wasn’t outridden but I think FQ certainly led the race and pressured MM. MM miscalculated twice attempting to take the lead and those are mistakes MM hasn’t made in a while. I think MM realized quickly he had to change his tactics, conserve his tires and take his chance near the end. That he was able to study FQ during the race was a fortuitous benefit of the position in which MM found himself.
Its my opinion that MM Faked those two pass attempts mainly to show Fabio his front tyre and force him to adopt a defensive race line. So he could set him up for the pass later.

I really admire Jack for his honesty about his accidental engine shut-off at the starting line.

Lots of others would have made excuses so it provides nice contrast to hear Jack’s confidence and integrity.
Everyone loves Jack Miller I love jack Miller!! but let me tell you the truth about our beloved Jack.... He has Talent, loads of raw talent...but he isn't smart. He would have been going through his race prep in his mind and then his eye would have caught a glimpse of the kill switch and he would have told himself you don't want to switch that off Jack No No No that would be Ba.... ah **** I switched it off !!!!!!!!!. it will always happen to jack he cant help it its just breeding !!

Sometimes things happen when there is major change. Maybe Zarco will change something or become something and then we will have 2 competitors on the LCR like there should be for good race battles.

It might be a greater strategy by Honda. They don't really have a backup rider. I suspect they are testing Zarco for a test rider role. Not what happens to Bradl though. JL's days are numbered anyway, I expect Honda will terminate that contract of JL. They cannot have their brand being dragged through the mud and have to change their strategy.
Yip it’s all the talk now. The Honda is getting a reputation as being a difficult ride and the only one who can ride it is MM. If only one other rider was also challenging for podiums then the talk would be about how good the Honda was over all the other bikes. Just shows how Good DP was handling the bike. By the way if JLslow had not had that crash I think he could have been the man to do it he ended with Ducati well and started confidently with Honda but that’s all in the past now there is no way I can see him being part of The Honda plan next year.

you mean FP1 maybe ?
wasn't it a led of his dash reflecting ?

in any case, the frenchman killed them all one more time :grin2:
0.3s
if the race is dry, it's his fist win for sure.
Yeah FP1 the more I watched I realized it was something from his dash. Great last minute run from Fabio. just finished watching FP2 this track is supposed to favor Ducati but it doesn’t seem like there is any advantage the Yamaha’s are looking good. I hope it’s a wet race on Sunday it will make it more interesting

Many want to see him hunt down Alex Marquez. I don't think he'll win the season because KTM were slow developing the moto2 chassis but now he's back to his usual ways. On the podium every race since the summer break. His qualifier was cr@p but I've seen him come from 23rd on the grid to winning the race. Race day tomorrow.
Race Day and Game Day Great Day:grin2: Its going to be the game or the Tournament against Japan. its set for the best flowing rugby and monster hits.

It's less predictable and much closer racing. Anyone can truly win on the day. Plus anyone in the top 5 can win this season, although it's getting tighter with only two races remaining. The 4th & 5th need those ahead to fall off. I don't wish that on anyone.
I do feel BB could end up 2nd in the championship. Considering his season 1st half, KTM didn't build a decent chassis for the triumph engine. Kalex chassis is undoubtedly the best and they started their development two months earlier than ktm.
There won't be a ktm chassis next year.

Riders in moto2 to look out for in 2020:

Alex Marquez
Luca Marini (Rossi's half brother)
Jorge Martin
Jorge Navarro
Lorenzo Baldesari
Augusto Fernandez
Tom Luthi

Next season I'll be shouting for Luca Marini.
Fernández is also an excellent rider but has his bad moments.
I agree but where is Remi Gardner on your list
