What was interesting was how MM opened up about his race strategy.
For those who don't have access to Dorna media, MM's strategy is to stretch the front pack and reduce the number of riders in the front pack from lap one.

That way, he feels he only needs to contend with one or two riders towards the end.
So he purposefully tries to slow the front pack down if he is leading in the middle of the race to then conserve some rubber for the end battle. Which has proven to be only one rider to contend with at the end. He's no stupid racer MM and has confidence in his and the bikes ability.
However, he made one of those comments I just cannot take. He said no one can beat him, and that the championship is his.
Well if anything that is pig headed and demonstrates his lack of respect for others on the track.
Previously Rins highlighted MM is a dirty rider, and truth behold, MM purposefully pushed Rins off the track at Silverstone. I've watched that media cut over and over with an aerial view of the penultimate lap, MM looks left and sees Rins then proceeds to push his Honda wide and expel Rins across the green bits.
How come Dorna do nothing about his wreck less riding. It is blatantly obvious in the aerial video he aimed his bike to push Rins off.
Heck, Dorna seems to think MM can do no wrong. Look what he did to Rossi in '15. He screws VR's chance to win the title but Rossi is the one that gets penalized. Amazing. MM did it for spite and GOAT status IMO. Instead, MM will never be loved, known as a great (greatest?) rider but awful sportsman. I was an MM fan, saw him win his first MGP in Austin, then he continued to run over people and ride like a jackass. Don't care much for him.

I could draw comparisons to a couple of F1 multi champions that are still considered the greatest as MM is. Running over competitors is seldom called for unless it's justified retaliation or blatant blocking.

We had Teri Leigh hosting MotoGP here in the US on BEiN Sports. She did a pretty good job. She hasn't been on the air in the last couple of races.

Of course you generally have to set the DVR at 4am to get the show here.

Stoner was so good. I'd like to know what put him out. Rumors were health and/or head case.

Saw him win at Indy. A shame we don't two GPs anymore. I remember his battle with Vale at Laguna, my, my.

I wish I was heading to Springfield Ill now. I digress.......

Another last lap pass. Yamaha seems to have finally figured out the software package after two years of trying, maybe it's CF swingarm(?), consistency but not a winner.

The quals were pretty interesting yesterday with MM and Rossi going at it. No penalty.

MM had plenty in reserve and was taking his time. If wasn't sure he would've tried the pass earlier. Waiting to the end only gave him two shots. Good move by Fabio to take it back but just couldn't keep it. Funny that only MM can ride that beast. It's always been like that but it seems like the other Honda guys are lot further back now (or in the kitty litter).

"Plenty in reserve" meaning MM had confidence in the pass, not that he had the speed to move away. He wasn't going to allow for Fabio to follow and track him and expose his weaknesses.

I think the same tactic got him and Rossi into it during qualifications. Rossi got tired of the stalking and when it crossed him up he blocked MM's lap.

I don't think there is anything simple about GP bikes. You'd think every iteration of frame, strength, material and geometry would tested or simulated. I also thought the swigwam and headstock pivots were multi adjustable by the mechanics at the track.

I can't blame KTM or Zarco. It just didn't workout. I'd like to see Zarco back with soon on MGP, not MT2.

I once rode that KTM RC8 Superbike, very comfortable with adjustable rear sets and bars. Seemed pretty strong in the midrange but on a test ride no way I could get in the upper range. Yeah, I wanted one for sure after that. But then considering cost and maintenance and still want to ride distances with luggage. A shame they don't sell a version of it nor compete in Superbike with it. All their roadrace eggs are in the various Moto GP baskets.

There are going to some battles between the 20 and the 93 in the future, just imagine if he had the top end of the honda or duc. He lost .4 in sector four on that fast last lap. His qualifying shows he can bring it when he needs to.
DORNA better hope that's the case once Rossi retires. I think there are some up and comers that can challenge MM. Mentioning MM, that Honda has some horses....whoa.
