Sorry for not responding to your post Don C. I've been pretty busy lately and must have missed it the first time around. Let me think on it, but I'm inclined to wait for the grey version which should be release sometime within the next decade.
No worries Bill. I have actually painted it flat white now. A bit off of the silk white but I use it when I put on tail bag. The white paint is holding up pretty good actually.

One long stripe down the center leaving room for the hump, two along the outer edges, and two along the leading edge; as in the photograph attached.

Just a question, is that the protect stripes were included in the seat cover by ducati?

When I bought the sss, I asked to the shop one seat cover and they put it themselves. But, here's the result on the seat after a moment, the paint has rubbed off. They didn't put the protect stripes...
Does somebody have an idea to clean it because with only a brush and water it doesn't work and the seat tissue is really fragile.

I'm going to show it at the ducati store but I don't know the reaction they will have.

I agree on the fragility of seat material (Alcantara? not sure). I scratched mine when attempting to get my boot over seat when bike loaded for touring. Guess I need to practice high kicks or something!
Last time I removed cowl, I do not remember any major mark made by cowl.

Ducati sent me a passenger seat cover and all the parts to attach it to the seat. Each part was in its own sealed bag, labeled with description and a part number (yes two screws, two separate bags and so forth). There were no instructions or diagrams but assembly was a no brainer. My problem is that there are seven little adhesive backed pads (one 6x1/2, four 3x1/4, and two 1x1/4 inches) that need to mount to the under side of the cover to keep it from flopping around. Would someone remove their seat cowl and take a pic of the underside so I can get an idea of the factory intended placement of these pads?

Thanks in advance and keep the rubber on the road out there!
I just got mine in the mail and it didn't come with the strips. Any idea what they are made of?

@ksmalta Sorry no size. But they are item 24 in the attached Parts Catalogue; see image and scroll down for part number. Ducati should be able to order them for you. They are a very flat button head type screw; if you get a bolt too long you risk damaging the seat, so best going with an original one unless you find out the size and length of the bolt.
